Today in West Darfur State, we officially launched the “She Talks” project through community dialogues addressing issues of gender-based violence.
This initiative aims to establish women’s groups and create permanent safe spaces where women can come together to raise awareness about their rights across all spheres—economic, humanitarian, political, and social. Through these spaces, women are encouraged to advocate for their issues and actively participate in shaping their communities.
For this first phase, we engaged 30 women from diverse backgrounds, including displaced persons, nomads, lawyers, gynecologists, feminists, and civil society organizations. Together, we are taking steps toward greater solidarity, empowerment, and collective action for women’s rights in West Darfur.
