With peace we move forward… with peace we develop… with peace we rise… with peace, Sudan will return as it once was, with all its goodness and wealth. Peace must prevail in my country, and we must all unite to achieve peace… Together for a new Sudan—a Sudan as we should dream it to be.
The role of women in peace lies in their sense of safety and stability, and in the absence of inferiority, so that all recognized means of security are available to them and they are granted all their rights and authorities, which makes them independent.
As women in Darfur, we have faced countless problems and have lost those who were dear and precious to us. Is all this loss and suffering not enough? Let us reject tribalism and regionalism, embrace our differences, and cooperate for the sake of peace. Let us abandon battles and disputes, for we deserve to live in the paradise of our beloved city.
Women are makers of peace, mediators, and negotiators within their communities. They play a pivotal role in preventing and resolving conflicts; therefore, they deserve greater attention so they can continue supporting themselves and strengthening their role in overcoming the social, cultural, and political barriers that limit women’s full participation in achieving and sustaining peace.

Peace is the foundation of relationships among individuals, human societies, and states. It is a divine principle that aligns with the sound human nature, because the essence of life is peace and the pursuit of security, stability, and prosperity, and distancing oneself from everything that leads to ruin, wars, destruction, the depletion of power, and the squandering of resources.
